Personal Information

Don Corriveau

My old Victorian granite home dates back to 1897 and was built by the owner of local quaries noted for distinctive pink granite and is listed in the national registry of historical places. A close-up photo of the building's granite stone became the cover of Tom Khoury's CD titled "Pink Granite."

I've acted, worked backstage and directed. I love directing the most. It's a wonderful experience to see the final product evolve. One of my favorite plays was "Deck the Mall" which I produced and directed with a cast of 212 performers! Live theatre is great!

Childrens' Theatre
Directing children's theatre has unique rewards. For young children, theatrical experiences become powerful promoters of self-confidence. My philosophy is to concentrate more on the process than the product.
Theatrical Writing
My first musical was We'll Try which centers around a group of high school characters dealing with contemporary conflicts. The music includes mostly rock and pop ballads. The Little Theatre of Fall River produced the play in 1991 and the play was subsequently presented throughout the Fall River School System, and also presented at Bishop Stang High School, and in Hong Kong.
My current project is a rather large scale musical called "Divided." Cast within our Civil War, it features ageless human complexities. The script and a cd demo is available. Directors/producers with potential interest should contact me.
My main instrument is the keyboard which I played in both a Blues Band, a classic Rock and Roll Band and a "Covers" Band. I recently got back into music and started a band in which I exclusively play lead guitar. (Always fun to learn new things.)

I'm noted for my love of this game - not necessarily by ability. I did get two holes-in-one - 178 yards at Pocasset and 176 yards at my home course at the Fall River Country Club. These are in addition to a hole-in-one as a teenager, but that was a result of a severe hook that landed in the wrong hole!
