GPROMOTING PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ON THE INTERNET


ABSTRACT

This paper examines the current use of the Internet in promoting goods and services. The meaning of commonly used terms such as Internet and World Wide Web is explained. Statistical data on the number of users, type of users, and advertising expenditures is presented with sample company, and industry listings. Creating a home page and promoting goods and services on the Internet, and measuring the effectiveness of advertising are explained in detail. Recommendations are made on to how to utilize the Internet in promotion. Furthermore, cost and practical issues of connecting to the Internet, as well as the future outlook, are discussed.
