GLOBAL COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE AND THE INTERNET


ABSTRACT

This paper examines the use of Internet in marketing products and services globally. The number of Internet users is increasing at a very high rate daily and the Internet is being currently used over 180 countries around the world. We attempt to provide information about the Internet users, resources available on the Internet, and the purposes of using the Internet. In addition, we make suggestions by discussing multilingual We Site development, marketing research on the Internet, corporate sponsorship on the Internet, newsletters on the Internet, Directories on the Internet, and electronic mail on the Internet. We also present a listing of the Internet resources taken directly from a Web Site of an on-line marketing firm in the appendix. The listing shows the type and the vast amount of information that users can access with ease.
