Shannon Jenkins is an assistant professor in the department of political science at the University of Massachusetts and an affiliate of the Women's Studies Program. She received her BA in Government and Computer Applications from tne University of Notre Dame and her MA and PhD in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago. After several years at Central Michigan University, she arrived at UMD in 2004.
